Shreveport Little Theatre and Academy is thrilled to announce auditions for the beloved musical OLIVER! Auditions will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 11 AM at Shreveport Little Theatre, 812 Margaret Place.
SLT invites performers to join a powerful storytelling experience set in the hardship and hope of Victorian London. Based on the classic novel by Charles Dickens, OLIVER! takes us into the cruel, crowded workhouse, where a young orphan named Oliver dares to ask for more and embarks on a journey from poverty to possibility. From the haunting plea of “Food, Glorious Food” to the defiant, hopeful sounds of “Consider Yourself,” the show weaves themes of injustice, loyalty, redemption, and love through unforgettable songs and characters. Laura Beeman Nugent will direct and choreograph, with Nathan Gay serving as Music Director and Brittany Gay serving as Assistant Director.
